Maple Grove firefighters found heavy fire as they approached Lynde's Greenhouse and Nursery.
Chief Tim Bush said the fire went to three alarms. However, additional resources beyond that were requested. It took firefighters several hours to extinguish the fire because there were pockets that were inaccessible.
In addition to the greenhouse, the chief said told reporters were auxiliary buildings that contained gardening tools and other equipment.
There were no injuries in the fire that remains under investigation.
The nursery, that's been operated by the same family for five generations for more than 30 years, is now closed.
